Abstract

Sugar beet is one of the most common sugar crops not only in Egypt but also all over the world. Powdery mildew is one of the most dangerous and widespread diseases attacking sugar beet plants, causing substantial crop losses. Because of the widespread use and high cost of industrial fungicides, as well as the emergence of pesticide-resistant pathogen strains, these pesticides harm the environment and human health. As a result, the purpose of this study was to assess the resistance of various sugar beet varieties to powdery mildew disease, chemical inducers, and/or nanoparticles. The experiments were carried out under greenhouse conditions at Gemmeiza Agricultural Research Center, during the 2021/2022 seasons.
