Abstract

This study aims to :

-     Monitoring of Synthetic pyrethroid and Carbamate Pesticide Residues in Water and Nile Tilapia Fish Samples from El-Bahr El-Pharony Drain for Potential Health Risks.
-     Determine the acute toxicity (median lethal concentration 96-h LC50) of some pesticides in Nile tilapia fish (Oreochromis niloticus). Also, Behavioral alternations of O.niloticus exposed to different concentrations of lambda-Cyhalothrin and fipronil for 96-hour were recorded.
-     Study the effect of sub-lethal concentrations of two pesticides on physiological (growth parameters and feeding efficiency), haematological (RBCs and WBCs count), biochemical (AST; ALT activity, creatinine; Urea level, progesterone; Testosterone activity and antioxidants and oxidative stress activity) parameters and bioconcentration of two pesticides in fish muscles.
-     Reveal the histopathological alternations in gill, liver, kidney, ovary and tests tissues of O.niloticus exposed to sublethal concentrations of l.cyhalothrin and fipronil.
